Hull, P&I, and cargo are separate decisions
Hull protects the vessel itself. Protection and indemnity handles injury and liability the hull policy will not - and for crew, it is what stands between an injury and a Jones Act claim against your business. Ocean cargo covers the goods, whether you own them or are carrying them for someone else.
